Hi! I'm Esteban
I’m a children’s book illustrator from General Pico, La Pampa, Argentina.
I work with watercolors (both traditionally and digitally) and I'm passionate about their various effects. I love creating characters with a wide range of emotions and with natural colors. I’m proficient in the use of Photoshop to edit and clean up my traditional illustrations, and InDesign for book formatting purposes.
I deeply adore historical, medieval, folk and fantasy themes and I'm currently looking to work with companies and authors who love the look of classic children's books.
I illustrated the picture book Yiyo, el elefante sin colmillos (by Gisel Singh) and the chapter book My Kingdom in Peril (by Vasilis Karavasilis).
Authors have trusted my attention to detail and willingness to do tweaks. I like to check and double check things. I’m great at organizing and I always strive to have the greatest level of communication possible between parts, asking pertinent questions.

Esteban perfectly captured the style I was looking for in my Runas Antiguas project. His illustrations are clear and faithful to the Norse imagery, reflecting the mystery of Odin, the serenity of Freyja and the imposing strength of Thor.
One of the aspects I appreciate the most is the symbolism in each character, which, like the traditional clothing, has been treated with great detail and care. In addition, the strokes and patterns used evoke both the simplicity and complexity of each deity and the universe they inhabit.
